To send or not to send

Ok, here’s the deal…today is DECEMBER 14th and I have NOT sent out my Christmas cards yet!!!!
Can you believe it? Seriously, I am the person that sends out hundreds (much to my husband’s chagrin) of Chritmas cards the first week of December each and every year. One of my girlfriends is Puerto Rican and she told me that this whole Christmas card thing is an “American thing” and that we get all wrapped up in it and that where she is from they just don’t do that. Shock and horror was all over my face when she said that, but you know what?!?! maybe she has a point?
I LOVE getting Christmas cards (as a matter of fact I keep them…I have every Christmas card that we have ever received since 1995. Well, I had them, my mom made me throw them out this year! Boo!) and love to see what’s going on in everyone’s families and appreciate the time they spent on sending the card.
But seriously…what should I do? To Send or NOT to Send is the question?!?!?
Waiting for your thoughts,

  1. I say send them – it’s never too late. I love getting cards too, so I figure I should send them. And you know what – I even love them when they are late! Good luck! 🙂

  2. I think, YES!

I know that it blesses the people you send them to…maybe, like me, you need to par down your list. I sent out only 72 this year and emailed the same thing to friends, who live far away in other countries and nearby in our hometown. It was a financially good idea. I still prayed for them as they went out.
    Have a great weekend!

  3. I say if you feel like putting the time in and you have that time to put in send em late. But if you are busy with other matters that are more important then let it be.

I was really hoping to do cards this year but with a new job it would not have been fun but just stressful. So I chose not to. There is always next year!

  4. I am a bad one to ask about Christmas cards sending. Every year I have good intentions of mailing a “Family Card” with a cute picture of everyone. I am so jealous of my friends who have “it” together enough to do this. This has NEVER happened for me. Maybe next year. uGH.

  5. Send them. I think sending (and receiving) cards is wonderful…one of my favorite things about Christmas time. My husband and I are both so far away from family and life-long friends. I even love the “form letters”. Go! Addresss….stamp….mail!

  6. Ok, I get the point…I will scale down the MONSTER Christmas list and send a few out!

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!
