Any Canadians visiting Mel’s World?

O CANADA
Welcome to Mel’s World! I am doing a shout out to any and all Canadians that come and visit in Mel’s World. I know that there are a few of you out there because I see you (yes I do) on the ClustrMap, and I have even emailed a couple of my new Canadian friends.
I am super excited about Canada and here’s why…the company I am working with is getting ready to expand internationally and they are launching into Canada next weekend.

I am actually considering (even though I hear it is absolutely freezing up there right now) going to one of the Kick-Off Canada meetings, but haven’t decided which one yet (any suggestions).

Kick-off meetings will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre and in Toronto, Ontario, on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Pearson Convention Center. YTB is accepting reservations by e-mail at
[email protected].

Vancouver Convention Centre, Canada Place

Pearson Convention Center

If you live in the area of either meeting and could give me some pointers, tips, or advice about traveling to your neck of the woods I would really appreciate it. If you are interested in seeing what all the excitement is about click here or go over to my sidebar and check out the section called “What I Do“.

Now I need to go out and buy some warm clothes (remember…I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area and it is not cold AT ALL here). I will need them anyways, because next week I am heading up to Louisville, Kentucky for a business meeting and team launch. WOW…It is already an amazing year, isn’t it?

Go Canada,

  1. Mel, I love to read your posts. They are always filled with enthusiasm and zest for life. There’s encouragement aplenty, giggles, food for thought and just plain old enjoyment of life.

You are a ray of sunshine!

  2. Congrats to your company expanding! (if it’s good for the company – its good for you!)

I tried to check out the website on this a while back, but I have dial-up & it’s a bit of a time consuming thing… & I now need to buy new speakers, bc my puppy recently ate my speaker wires! 🙂

Travel & working from home are very, very appealing, however, I’m pretty sure this is out of my financial league at this time. Maybe in the future! Who knows!

I’m really happy for you that it’s doing so well for your family at this time of transition!

    God bless!
    Maria

  3. Hi Mel,

I saw your comment on my blog, thanks for visiting. It’s still a work in progress. Your page is cool!

Always nice to meet a KY girl. Glad to hear you’re a UK fan 🙂

  4. YAY CANADA!!! Well, I have actually lived in both Vancouver and Toronto and I would STRONGLY advise you to visit Vancouver over Toronto this time of year! Go visit beautiful Stanley Park, a cool ecclectic place called “Gas Town” in Vancouver, and if you have a vehicle and some extra free time go to White Rock which, as well as being my birth place, is beautiful.
Usually Vancouver is significantly warmer than Toronto this time of year.
Of course Toronto has very cool indoor things to do and see too.

And yes… it is pretty cold here right now. 🙂 Buy a hat, scarf and some mitts and a big sweater!

My husband (pastor) is pastoring in a small church in northeast Saskatchewan right now which is almost right in the middle between Vancouver and Toronto … 3 days drive at least in either direction! So I won’t be anywhere near either location but I definitely think you should visit my fine country!

  5. YAY for Canada. I’m from Canada!!! Not close to where you’re heading, but Canadian nonetheless!!

Yes, it’s COLD up here. Although it’s much nicer this week than it has been the last couple of weeks (at least where I am).

    Have fun!!

  6. Thanks for visiting my blog and posting such a lovely comment.

Wish I had checked in here earlier. I live about an hour outside of Toronto. There are certainly many things to see and do around Toronto, but I have also visited Vancouver – and it’s so pretty. Guessing by now you may have made all your plans. Hope you have fun. Dress warm!
    Blessings,
    Joy
