Book Review

So, here goes…you are looking at the title of this book going OH MY GOSH…what in the sweet name of Jesus is this girl reading…well, it may be hard to read so let me s-p-e-l-l it out for you…the book is called, “Going All the Way

Preparing for a Marriage that Goes the Distance”
by Craig Groeschel from Life Church.tv

I was blessed to receive a FREE copy from the Swerve team (THANKS!) and wanted to take a minute to tell ya a little bit about it!

When I picked up this book I thought it was going to be soley and completely on marriage and how to make it work (not that mine is falling apart or anything, but hey, everyone can learn, right?) but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was not only about marriage it is actually a great book for people thinking about getting married (even if it is in the far off future).

With chapters called, “Designed to Go All the Way”, “Finding the One”, “Finding Your Two”, “Passion and Pursuit”, it touches on subjects that almost everyone can relate to at one time or another.

I am in a mentoring relationship with two amazing young 20’s chicks and I have strongly recommended this book to BOTH of them and would go as far to say that I would recommend it to just about anyone I know who is “preparing” to get married.

All in all I found many, many nuggets of truth and wisdom in this book!
Check it out here.

  1. Sounds good! I mentor a young girl from the college here. Maybe I’ll get it for her before she goes home for the summer.

  2. Would it be good for a girl who is in a serious dating (hoping to get married someday) relationship?

  3. Yep, it would be great for the young college girl AND the girl who is in a serious dating relationship. It really helps them to focus on their relationship with NUMBER ONE (Christ) and figure out how to be ready for NUMBER TWO (their intended). I have asked both the girls I am working with to get it as well.
