His Love is Extravagant

Welcome to Speak to My Soul Sunday
His Love is Extravagant
God is love. Therefore love. Without distinction, without calculation, without procrastination, love.
-Henry Drummond

In a world filled with uncertainty.

In a time of utter chaos,
confusion,
pruning
and pain.

There is available to each and every one of us a LOVE that never fails.

A love that is amazing.

A love that isโ€ฆEXTRAVAGANT!

Today I want to take some time to โ€œwalkโ€ with you through the Word and see just how much our God loves each and every one of us. And yes, dear sisterโ€ฆeven me and you.

1 Chronicles 16:34 – Give thanks to Godโ€”he is good and his love never quits.

Job 37:3 – Whether for discipline or grace or extravagant love, he makes sure they make their mark.

Isaiah 54:7 – Your Redeemer God says: “I left you, but only for a moment. Now, with enormous compassion, I’m bringing you back. In an outburst of anger I turned my back on youโ€” but only for a moment. It’s with lasting love that I’m tenderly caring for you.

Isaiah 55:1, I’m making a lasting covenant commitment with you, the same that I made with David: sure, solid, enduring love.

Jeremiah 31:2, God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love!

Are you sensing a pattern here?

There is no amount of sin,
of heartache,
of pain
that could keep HIM from loving YOU!

Joel 2:13 – Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to God, your God. And here’s why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot, This most patient God, extravagant in love, always ready to cancel catastrophe. Who knows? Maybe he’ll do it now, maybe he’ll turn around and show pity. Maybe, when all’s said and done, there’ll be blessings full and robust for your God!

Malachi 1:2God said, “I love you.”

John 3:16 – “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son.

Romans 8:26 But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.

Ephesians 2:1 It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ

Whatโ€™s holding you back from BELIEVING in this extravagant LOVE?

James 1:5 – If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help.

Is it simply a matter of prayer?

1 John 3:1 – What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at itโ€”we’re called children of God!

1 John 4:7 – [God Is Love]

Psalm 36:5God’s love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic, His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic. Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks.

Psalm 118:1 – Thank God because he’s good, because his love never quits.

My sisters, this is where I want to leave you todayโ€ฆ
no matter where you are,
no matter what you are going through,
your Heavenly Father, the Alpha and Omega, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings loves
YOU

with HIS Extravagant Love!

Ephesians 3:14 – My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spiritโ€”not a brute strength but a glorious inner strengthโ€”that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.
