Speak to My Soul Sunday ~ Faith

FAITH

Verse 4 Today ~> Hebrews 11:1 ~ Now faith is being sure we will get what we hope for. It is being sure of what we cannot see.

Thought 4 Today ~> Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible. ~ Corrie Ten Boom

Faith is one of those words that can be used in so many ways, but most people just don’t realize just how big this word can really play into their lives until they are put in a situation where the only thing they have is their “faith”.

I love reading His Word and seeing it come to life. One thing I noticed was that the word “faith” was used in the Bible (NIV version) four hundred and twenty two (422) times. In every way the word can be used (faith, faithful, faithfulness) over four hundred times, that pretty much tells me that it is a big deal to God that we understand what faith is.

Hey listen, I know that we live in a world that wants it right now, wants to see it, touch it, feel it, but that is the incredibly awesome thing about faith…if you have it, then you don’t have to see it, touch it, feel it, you just know that it’s there.

The cool thing is this, if you want a real definition of what faith is, then all you have to do is open up His Word and go right to the book of Hebrews, then turn to Chapter 11. At the very beginning of this chapter it says this; Hebrews 11:1 NIV~ Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Keep reading the rest of Hebrews Chapter 11, if you are in need of a dose of “faith” this morning then this is the perfect place for you to find it. Hebrews 11 is the “Hall of Faith” in the Bible and has example after of example of people doing things “by faith” and bringing God the glory. Check it out, I think it’ll be just what you are looking for.

Have a great day, and remember to walk by faith!

  1. Hebrews 11 always helps me to persevere. I may not know what will happen tomorrow but I do know what happens at the end of the Good Book. And I’m so glad I’m on the winning side.

Glad we connected on LinkedIn too. Thinking of you and praying for your mom and your son. How is he doing?
