Whatever!!!

I just absolutely LOVE this week’s Bible Verse…ok, let me explain that one for you…every Monday my youngest son, Bailey, gets a new Bible verse to study for the week for his school. This week’s is one of my favorites.

It is Philippians 4:8-9 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Now, I am ALL about a good “What-ever!” and I have been known to show the BIG “W” with my hands from time to time, and as a matter of fact, my pal Jackie H. has even been good enough to show me the 6th grade version of “What-ever!” (Who says working with kids isn’t fun?), but have you really thought about WHAT-EVER! in the sense of the verse in Philippians…I mean, here is a GREAT BIG GARGANTUAN challenge to those of us with a little bit of ‘tude (no comments from the dh [dear husband] on this one).

Whatever is TRUE, Whatever is RIGHT, Whatever is PURE…well…I can stop here, I am not always good at putting ALL of those (TRUE, RIGHT, PURE, LOVELY, ADMIRABLE, also noted excellent and praiseworthy) together with my thinking…but this I know…God has given us HIS word on what He thinks about…WHATEVER…step in there and see if you can do it…I think if we BOTH try to a little harder we can do it (with His help, of course!).

Come on…grab your Bible, open up the word, look it up, and concentrate on…well, WHATEVER!!!
