Always Keep Working for the Lord

I am reading a really cool daily devotional written by Holly Wagner called “Daily Steps for God Chicks“. I think it is absolutely fabulous…the book was great, and the devo is even better. I want to share with you a few tiny nuggets from DAY 81…

1 Corinthians 15:58, CEV says “My dear friends (I love it when it starts like that), stand firm and don’t be shaken. Always (not when you feel like it) keep busy working for the Lord. You know that everything you do for him is worthwhile.” (All the italized words are my own thoughts).

Holly Wagner says in the devo…”You were created to join God in the work He does. You were not created to sit around and watch, but rather to be an active participant in seeing the work of God fulfilled on the earth. He had great plans (not itty bitty plans, but GREAT BIG ones) for you when He breathed life into you. You have been recreated in Christ so that you can fulfill all that God had in mind for you (not what’s on YOUR agenda). He has gotten you ready to do good work…I can’t do your part…No one else can. You and I should be leading a full life. You ONLY get one. Make this one count!” (Again…the emphasis is mine)

I guess I just want to ask you…are you YOUR part to lead a full life or are you waiting for your life to lead YOU?
