Pray For

I have spent tons of time in prayer over the last two weeks. And at the same time I have been studying the book of Job…here’s what I have found over this time…that there are a lot of people hurting here in South Florida (probably all over the world).

Here’s what I found in Job…it’s Job 1:21-22, He said, “I came naken from my mother’s womb, and I will be stripped of everything when I die. The LORD gave me everything I had and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!” In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God.

Can you believe that in the midst of everything Job was going through that he did not blame God? I am not so sure I would be as faithful as Job…especially when you go back through and read everything that this man went through. But, here’s what I know…when my son laid in the hospital bed in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for 51 days and we didn’t know if he was going to make it we had God’s word and specifically Job’s testimony to fall back on. God is so good and so faithful…please know that…know it in your heart, feel it in your soul…my son is better now, and he is alive (Praise God!)…but he also knows that it is by God’s grace that he is.

This past week as I have been in prayer I have been approached by so many people who are broken…who are at the end…who are lost…who have given up hope…and I thank God each and every day that He chose me (little me) to stand in the gap for the brothers and sisters in Christ who are hurting and need HIM (Great Big Him!). There is so much pain…

I would really like to challenge whomever is reading this to take a minute RIGHT NOW and pray! Pray like you have never prayed before…pray for Flamingo Road Church, Pray for the staff and pastors, pray for Pastor Troy, pray for the ministries, pray for your families, pray for the children, pray for each other…there is SO MUCH power in your prayers.

Just a little hint…we prayed for YOU today at our staff prayer time…we pray for YOU each and every week in preparation of your coming to (maybe even for the first time) Flamingo Road Church.
