Everday Blessings by Max Lucado
This was too good that I just had to share today’s devotional out of the book, “Everyday Blessings” by Max Lucado.
November 4th
“The master will dress himself to serve and tell the servants to sit at the table, and he will serve them.” ~Luke 12:37
The humble heart honors others.
Again, is Jesus not our example?
Content to be known as a carpenter.
Happy to be mistaken for the gardener.
He served his followers by washing their feet.
He serves us by doing the same. Each morning
he gifts us with beauty. Each Sunday he calls
us to his table. Each moment he dwells in our
hearts…If Jesus is so willing to honor us,
can we not do the same for others?
Today, especially today, let’s try to keep this in mind.
Max Lucado has a way of writing that gets right to me. I always get a message from him.
He is such a talented and prolific author. And yes, how appropriate for this voting day. We must remember to honor others, even if we disagree.
God KNOWS I needed to read this today. Thank you for sharing.
From a now more humbled heart . . .
Mari, Debbie, & Vicky,
I love when God places something like this directly in your path JUST WHEN YOU NEED it…I am so glad you all were blessed by it too!
xoxo,
Melissa
