Wordless Wednesday – Braces!

Tuesday was a BIG day for my youngest son Bailey! For the last four years he sat back and watched his older brother, Nick, get braces, retainers, & go to the Orthodontist.

He always wanted to do the same and now he finally got his chance!
(Weird, I know!)

Today, after two hours, he is now wearing braces too!

  1. Ah, you are so sweet…they look “older” that’s for sure.

I have to keep looking at him to make sure that he’s really my baby (I know, I know, he’s not a baby at 12, but he is MY baby!)

  2. I’m amazed that kids look forward to braces! I guess I remember that I had braces as an adult for two LONG years. I had the clear ones and had to watch everything I ate because they stained. I was so glad when they came off, but in retrospect am glad I did it. I think your son looks cute!

  3. My daughter wanted them too, but after she had them for awhile she was ready to be done! Oh well – it’s a good thing to have done.

  4. He’s so CUTE, Melissa – with or without braces:-) My grown daughter got braces just a year ago at age 27…she avoided it long enough, huh? I keep telling her she looks like she’s back in junior high…lol..

  5. Congratulations.

    I think.

Actually, I wanted braces, too, when I was in high school. They were worth it, I think.

  6. WoW! He was looking forward to it? Does he enjoy everything his big brother went through? That will change when he has to go to a proctologist. lol

  7. I am so thankful that I was the only one of four kids who did not get them. I pray my kids don’t either, but looks like both may have to.

    Your son is too cute!

  8. Debbie, Thanks, I think he’s pretty cute too!

Marina, yep he is feeling ALL the pain his brother went through now.

Mari, I am sure he is thinking the SAME thing right about now.

Vicki, Thanks! That is too funny about your 27 year old daughter loooking like she is back in middle school, I am sure she loved that comment, huh?

    Blind Mom, thanks!

Just Mom, it is SO worth all the pain AFTER your done, I totally agree.

One Mom, you are absolutely right!

Tim/Vicky, not sure he’ll enjoy that, but he does look up to his big brother…most little bro’s do I think.

Tammy, that is great that you didn’t have too. I did, and it was not fun, but I am SO glad my parents let me (made me) do it!
