The Bend in the Road…
Ok…I know that this will be the 2nd Blog post for the night, but you see I am reading a fabulous book called, “The Difference Maker” by John Maxwell and in the book there is this terrific quote that got me to thinking…so, it’s time to BLOG!
In the book Maxwell has part of a poem that was written by Helen Steiner Rice called, “The Bend in the Road”. It was so good that I just HAD to share with each and every one of you…especially you JS (here’s looking at ya!)
“And together we stand at life’s crossroads
And view what we think is the end,
But God has a much bigger vision
And He tells us it’s only a bend.
For the road goes on and is smoother,
And the pause in the song is a rest.
And the part that’s unsung and unfinished
Is the sweetest and richest and best.
So rest and relax and grow stronger.
Let go and let God share your load,
Your work is not finished or ended,
You’ve just come to a bend in the road.”
So dear friends, if you are reading this and you feel like you are at the end of your rope, hang on tight and pray to God to show you the BEND IN THE ROAD!
Father, I pray for each and every person reading this RIGHT NOW…I pray that you would open their eyes to see the bend in the road before them and guide them along whatever path that you have them on. In Jesus Name, Amen!
