A Father’s Day Tribute

Happy Father’s Day!

I wanted to come up with a thousand wonderful words to encourage, inspire, and praise the men in our lives, our dad’s, our pop-pop’s, our son’s who have their own children, and our husband’s, but to be quite honest there are truly no words that can express the difference that a DAD can make in a person’s life.

I love this quote I found from Mother Teresa that says, “It is not how much you do, but how much Love you put into the doing that matters.”

So, this Father’s Day, I would love to celebrate the Dad’s in our lives by letting them know just how important they are to us, how special they make us feel, and how blessed we are that they are a part of who we are.

Philippians 1:2
– Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

And if, just if, you don’t have your earthly father around, or if he is no longer here with you, remember this…Your Heavenly Father loves you more than you could ever even imagine, and yes, HE has your picture in his wallet.

Ephesians 4:6
– one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

I hope you enjoy this You Tube video I found with Father Moments from various movies and cartoons…I think you’ll like it!

Always remember, 1 John 3:1 – How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!

Happy Father’s Day,

PS – I just wanted to take a minute to personally thank God for the Dad’s in my life, my own father, whom I love and adore, my father in love, who makes me laugh, for my husband, who is just an amazing father to our beautiful boys, and for my Heavenly Father, that loves me, and my family, no matter what! What a sweet blessing it is to be called His Children.

  4. Thank you so much for that youtube video! When I taught interpersonal communication at UCF, I played a movie clip almost every class and then we would analyze it, applying communication theory to “real life” situations, so I usually read much more into movies than “normal” people. Love it.

  5. Hi Mel!

Remember me? I’ve been so bad about blog reading lately…not because I don’t want to read, but because of my crazy life recently. Lots of company, which has been wonderful and then all the medical tests, etc. You’ve been a busy, busy girl. I’ve really enjoyed reading all your posts I’ve missed. I your your children are enjoying their trip and you and hubby are enjoying your time alone.

    Hugs!

  7. Hi Mel,
What an awesome Youtube clip! I really enjoyed seeing all of the “Dad Moments”. I love that movie with Nicholas Cage & Tea Leoni. And we watch Buzz Lightyear all the time around here. The “Father of the Bride” is a hard one for me to watch (reminds me of how fast my girls are growing up!!).

Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture of fatherhood on such a special day. Have a good week….

    Kelley
