Then Sings My Soul ~ The Lost Get Found

Hey There Everyone! Welcome back to Then Sings My Soul Saturday’s. This week I have been away at a speakers/writers training conference (CLASSeminars) and have been blessed to get to connect with some truly incredible Christian authors, speakers, ministry leaders, Pastor’s, etc…but one thing that really resonated with me this week as well was that there are so many other people out there that do not have what we have, and that breaks my heart.

Living in South Florida is especially hard because 94% of the population here is unchurched…which means they have never even stepped foot in a church or know anything about a relationship with Christ. 94%! That’s a whole lot of people!

Needless to say with those statistics stacked against you it is difficult to do ministry here, but…I love when there’s a but like this, we serve a mighty God and none of this is a surprise or shock to Him. This week my song choice is Britt Nicole’s song “The Lost Get Found”.

Lyrics for The Lost Get Found

Hello my friend
I remember when you were
So alive with your wide eyes
Then the light that you had in your heart was stolen
Now you say that it ain’t worth stayin’
You wanna run but you’re hesitatin’
I’m talkin’ to me

Don’t let your lights go down
Don’t let your fire burn out
‘Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe
Why don’t you rise up now?
Don’t be afraid to stand out
That’s how the lost get found
The lost get found

So when you get the chance
Are you gonna take it?
There’s a really big world at your fingertips
And you know you have the chance to change it
There’s a girl on the streets, she’s cryin’
There’s a man whose faith is dyin’
Love is calling you

Don’t let your lights go down
Don’t let your fire burn out
‘Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe
Why don’t you rise up now?
Don’t be afraid to stand out
That’s how the lost get found
The lost get found

Why do we go with the flow
Or take an easier road?
Why are we playin’ it safe?
Love came to show us the way
Love is a chance we should take
I’m movin’ out of the way

Don’t let your lights go down
Don’t let your fire burn out
‘Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe
(Stand out)
Don’t let your lights go down
Don’t let your fire burn out
(Stand out)
‘Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe
Why don’t you rise up now?
Don’t be afraid to stand out
That’s how the lost get found
The lost get found

So when you get the chance
Are you gonna take it?
There’s a really big world at your fingertips
And you know you have the chance to change it

  1. Great song and words to encourage us to live out our Christian lives with love and courage. I didn’t realize the numbers were so high in southern FL; wow.

With all that’s been going on lately in our world, I believe true Christians need to get serious and surrender ALL to our Lord. Then we can be vessels that are useful for His purposes. We can reach a dying world when we allow Jesus to be Jesus in us and through us.

I look forward to hearing all you learned this past week. As a CLASS graduate, I’m always interested.

    Have a wonderful weekend Mel.

    Love,
    Debbie

  2. A great reminder! The percentage of unchurched is going up every day. It’s sad for sure. I know, though, that this is going to force Christians to really deepen their faith. It means it’s going to be more necessary to be more serious about it. I see it in our kids and I LOVE it!

    Thanks for the reminder.

    🙂 Susan
