Meet People Where They Are
People are complicated!
There, I said it…profound, right?
When we really stop and ponder how complicated people are it can make us want to crawl in our houses and lock the door.
Wait…that’s what a lot of people today already do, don’t they?
They drive down their street, to their home, they don’t wave, make eye contact, or connect at all with their neighbors. They pull up to the house, open their garages, pull their cars in, close the garage, then get out and head into the house.
Completely closed off from everything around them.
So it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
Romans 12:5 NLT
There are so many people that are struggling with real, deep, emotional and hard stuff right here in our world.
Right next door to us. Right in the car beside us in the kids’ car line. Right there standing next to us in the grocery store.
How about this…
Right there sitting next to you in church!
What if we just took one small step and decided to meet people where they are?
