Warning, Sappy Mom Post Below

(Look how stinking cute they are, I think they were 3 and 5 here, overlooking the Hulk ride at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL)

It’s official…my boys have grown up right before my eyes.
(now here they are today, taking over the lawn furniture section at Kohl’s)

It feels like I blinked and my once little bundles of joy have grown into…
well…men!

This parenting thing is no joke.

It’s not for the faint of heart.

It takes you on a wild adventure
where you hang on with white knuckles at times
and other times you feel like you are flying through the sky with ease.

My boys are six days shy of two years apart. Wasn’t planned that way, it’s just another sweet gift God gave us when He gave us these boys.

My baby boy turned 16 last weekend, he is officially the tallest member of our family now (he grew like crazy this last year and is still growing now).

He got his first car and most days I come home I can find him out in the yard working on it, washing it, repairing it, cleaning it and everything in between. As a matter of fact, this week I came home and found him like this.

My oldest boy turned 18 this past weekend. His precious girlfriend had a day full of adventure planned for him. His birthday (St. Patrick’s Day) started with his car being covered in post-it notes (adorable, right?).

Our house has been full of teenagers (they have some really incredible friends) this last week and I can’t think of any better way to celebrate than with great friends and family coming together to thank God for these two amazing boys (yes, I know I am biased).

Now if I could just stop crying that would be great.

Seriously…no one prepares you for the emotional fall out of coming to this point where your kids are getting ready to go out and do their own thing.

If you hear some strange sobbing noises coming from South Florida it is probably me…it’s alright, I’m finding out that this too, is just another bend, swoop and turn in this great parenting adventure!
