Waiting, and Waiting and Still Waiting…
I spent 8 1/2 hours of my life yesterday WAITING!!! Now, I know that God has us go through some things to “teach and train” us, but 8 1/2 hours…come on now!
Yesterday my dear husband had to have a colonoscopy and we were supposed to be there at 10am and be out within about an hour or a little more…well let’s just say it didn’t exactly go like that. We had to Wait, and Wait, and even Wait some more. We didn’t end up leaving until right around 3pm. Do the math…that’s 5 hours (for what was supposed to be a “quick” appointment).
Then…my oldest son had to go into the hospital for an MRCP (it’s basically an MRI, and for him it is just a follow up, everything is ok). Our appointment was for 6pm and again, it was only supposed to be about an hour. Here we go again…the WAITING kept on coming…we didn’t end up leaving until after 9:30pm….which is 3 1/2 hours.
Both tests worked out ok and 2 out of the 3 Mashburn men in my home that were tested came out fine and didn’t have any complications, but man oh man…the WAITING is terrible. I am constantly struggling, especially in our fast paced world, with WAITING, and I guess it is something I will just supposed to do…so, while I WAIT for the results I put my hope and trust in the only One who can do anything about it…
God I give you my time, my life, and my family, and whatever lessons I need to learn I submit myself to you and to them.
Psalms 27:14 says, “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
