Hope-Filled Heart

Wouldn’t you love to have a HOPE-filled heart?
Wouldn’t you love to see the world
through the eyes of Jesus?
Where we see unanswered prayer,
Jesus saw answered prayer.
Where we see the absence of God,
Jesus saw the plan of God…
God never promises to remove us
from our struggles.
He DOES promise, however,
to change the way we look at them.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you HOPE and a future.

Did you guys take a minute to grab on to the other post about HOPEHanging On (and) Praying Expectantly…I am so thrilled to know that it was helpful to some of you.

HOPE is something you can have one minute and loose another…you think you are starting to build it up, then you take your eyes off of HIM and you start to fall again. I received two emails yesterday from friends telling me the same story of Peter walking on water, and how when he took his eyes off Jesus he started to sink, and you know what…they are absolutely right! I have started to get out of the boat (in more ways than one…ha!) and walk towards Him, and then I turned my eyes to look around me and started to sink…

Has that ever happened to you? Have you been doing a good work, then all of the sudden you are sidetracked and out of hope?

I would love to hear from you to see what happened and how you started to get your focus (and HOPE) back when you thought it was gone…take a minute and post me a comment! 😉

PS – Went to surgeon today and got the ALL CLEAR…I can’t even begin to tell you all how much I appreciate your prayers…now, go make the appointment for yourself to get checked out…I dare you!

Special Note – all the HOPE‘s listed in this email click over to the Breast Cancer Site…click on over and give a FREE mammogram to those less fortunate!

  1. God has a funny way of working that way! How cool was that to have the same story!
BTW, I have my yearly “poke and grab” for Tuesday morning…so have you made a note on your calendar to make an appointment for next year??? 😉

  2. HA!!!!!!! That is hysterical Cheryl…I have never thought of it as a “poke and grab” before, but that is probably the MOST accurate explanation! 😉

  5. This blog is so wonderfully written. So glad you stopped by mine, so I could read yours too! The Lord is my HOPE..even when the world doesn’t offer any…as it won’t most days. Only God can provide that silent whisper in my heart, that speaks volumes through times of trials and triumphs….Thank the Lord for His faithfulness.

  6. Big Praises Mel! I’m glad you’re all clear. I’m scheduled for my annual check up in November…Yippee!!!
