Spring Reading Thing 2008

Happy Day After Easter to Everyone!

Anyone who knows me know just how much I LOVE (heart) to read! I wasn’t always an avid reader, but the desire started in 2000 and has grown into a full blown passion of mine. When I found out that Katrina over at Callapidder Days was hosting another reading event I knew that I just had to do it!

So, here goes…the Spring Reading Thing 2008 has officially begun! You can pop over to Katrina’s site here (Callapidder Days) if you want to participate with us. The Challenge runs from March 20th – June 19th, so there is plenty of time to read AND get involved.

Here is my list for the challenge. I may come back and add a few more after checking out some of the other sites…(wink wink).

Holy Bible – New Living Translation – I only have Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy left to complete my reading of the entire Bible. (YEAH!)

Rock-Solid Families – Janell Rardon (Thanks Sue for the great recommendation)

Boundaries in Marriage – Cloud & Townsend

Battlefield of the Mind – Joyce Meyer

Be Sweet – Diann Hunt

What Happens When Women Walk in Faith – Lysa TerKeurst (Thanks for the book Lysa)

You Matter More Than You Think – Dr. Leslie Parrot (Next Online Book Group Book)

Divine Nobodies – Jim Palmer

Made to Stick – Chip Heath & Dan Heath

Getting Things Done – David Allen

Finding God’s Path Through Your Trials & Study Guide – Elizabeth George (Thanks Noel)

To make things so easy…You can click on the title of the book and order it directly from Amazon.com if you want. I’m looking forward to sharing the “great insights” I learn and also would love to hear what you are reading and learning as well!

Happy Spring Reading Thing,

  1. Wow – looks like a good list. I don’t think I’ve read any of them (except for the Bible – hee hee).

I’ve tagged you for a meme. Come check it out.

  2. I’m reading three books right now. Battlefield of the Mind is one of the them. I’m sure you’ll like it.

I love to read to. Even the cereal boxes aren’t safe during breakfast.

  7. Wow! Great list, Melissa! Can’t wait to hear about your reading. I’m plugging right along with my book list, too. I’ve been reading every night, which is something I haven’t done regularly since my son was born 2 years ago.

  8. Whoa girl, that is a DEEP list! Awesome, can’t wait to hear what you have to say about these. I’ve heard good things about Cloud and Townsend and Meyer and Parrot. Happy Reading!! 😀
